The hunt is a central part of pack life, and this basic necessity for life is often steeped in ritual and ceremony. Many werewolves are forced to live as lone wolves, hunting small game for sustenance and for the extra energy needed for shifting. But those fortunate enough to hunt with family and pack celebrate this most with the pack hunt. Often this begins with chasing and playing, raising the energy level and mood for the hunt. A healthy werewolf pack working cooperatively can take down even large dangerous animals like elk and bear and in times of plenty even making multiple large game kills in a single day.
